Jalapeno Turning Red. How are they the same? I went everywhere looking for red jalapenos but could only find green ones, so i bought a bunch of those, but i still cling to the faint hope that i might be able to make them turn red!

Jalapenos are ready to be picked when they are firm and bright green, but you can leave them on the plant all the way until they turn red. Should i just go ahead and pick the green ones even though they're small? But once the jalapeno peppers turn green and are ready to pick it.
